What does "tithing" mean?

Tithe is a base for giving.

10% of what we earn goes back to God and his Kingdom. “Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” Luke 6:38

What does "offering"mean?

An offering is a gift.

You can choose where to give this gift. It can be for a specific need or just a general offering. "Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:7
